Senior Aerospace Science Instructor

Lt. Col. Lisa Franz

Lt Col Franz served in the United States Air Force for close to 25 years. In which, she transitioned from the enlisted ranks to earning her commission as an officer in the United States Military. She also served as a commander at both the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado and at the University of Michigan Reserve Officer Training Program (ROTC). Lt. Col. Franz soon joined Howell Air Force Junior ROTC in their second year as a program. She has instructed Howell cadets on world culture, survival, and space. This year, Lt. Col. Franz teaches Aviation History on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She oversees the StellarXplorers team, Cyber Patriot team, and Academic team.

SMSgt. Kenneth Reinhart

SMSgt. Reinhart was enlisted in the United States Air Force for 21 years where he served under multiple job titles. He retired as an Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Armed Forces in the position Superintendent of Network Services. SMSgt. Reinhart served as an instructor for a young middle school program equivalent to the Junior ROTC program in Wichita, Kansas.  After two years, SMSgt. Reinhart came to Michigan where was an instructor for the Garden City Air Force Junior ROTC for four years. After which, he began teaching at Howell, helping the program start in 2014. SMSgt. Reinhart teaches leadership on Mondays and drill on Wednesdays. He oversees the Drill Team, Cadet Challenge Team, and the Logistics of MI-20141.
