Eleven of our cadets when down to Ohio to participate in Chief Losacco’s Retirement Ceremony at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base. The event was a wonderful opportunity for our cadets, who were able to perform a rifle exhibition, flag folding ceremony and color guard. The overnight CIA trip was run by cadets Skrabal and Pierron.

Howell Drill Meet Saturday February 4th, 2017
The Howell Air Force JROTC hosted its very first Drill Meet and everything came together perfectly. The Howell Drill team placed 1st out of 8 competing teams. The Drill Meet was organized and run by Cadet Colon.

Cadets got to have a fun night of bowling at the Howell Bowl E Drome. They had a fun time putting a twist on the game where for every gutter ball the cadets had to do 10 push ups. Bowling Night was run by Cadet Pierron.

General Bassett 8th December, 2016
General Bassett visited the JROTC program and talked to the cadets about leadership and his experience in the army. He was also generous enough to offer cadets Pierron and Cochran his challenge coin.

Wayne Cadet Challenge 10 December, 2016
The Cadet Challenge team placed first at the Wayne Memorials Fitness team. Cadet Cochran was the overall male winner and Cadet Rosenthal was the overall female winner.

Veteran's Day 11 November, 2016
Cadets went to the Veteran’s day assembly that was being put on at the Highs School and were able to listen to a marine talk about his experience. The Cadets were then able to go uptown to be apart of the Veteran’s day event Howell was putting on.

Special Olympics 12 November, 2016
Cadets volunteered to help at this years Floor Hockey Special Olympics. The Cadets had a great time partnering up with players and helping the staff make sure that the event went just as planned.

Anchor Bay Drill Meet 5 November, 2016
Anchor Bay: a competition for several drill teams to gather and compete at the anchor bay high school in which Howell took 1st place overall and several other trophies including: 2nd in unarmed exhibition, 2nd in first year color guard, 2nd in first year unarmed, 2nd in inspection, 1st in standard armed, 1st in first year armed, and 1st in impromptu armed standard.

Howl-a-ween: volunteers went to the Howell nature center and did various things from assisting with the hay rides to passing out candy to the children trick or treating.

MSU Drill meet: We took 2nd place overall and the other trophies 1st in first year unarmed standard. 2nd in armed exhibition. 3rd in first year armed standard. 2nd in inspection. 2nd in unarmed standard. 2nd for first year color guard. And 1st for advanced color guard.

CIA Survival trip: During the school day cadets (with permission from parents and teacher) went to fort custer to participate in several team based and individual obstacle courses and participated in the consumption of MRE’s (meal ready to eat)

Adopt-A-Highway 01 October, 2016
Adopt a highway: cadet volunteers met at the HHS and were driven to m-59 where they went on a mile long walk cleaning up garbage, to make the environment cleaner and more beautiful.
